PA State Police are hosting nearly 130 police officers for Operation Nighthawk this weekend in Chester County. Friday March 27 and Saturday March 28, there will be massive DUI enforcement in memory of Trooper Kenton Iwaniec, who was killed by a drunk driver on March 27, 2008. A driver with a blood alcohol level of more than four times the legal limit crashed into his vehicle on his way home from a shift. He died from injuries two hours later at the hospital.
If you happen to be partying in Chester County this weekend, be sure to get home safely. Designate a sober driver or take a cab. Otherwise, you could end up arrested as part of Operation Nighthawk. For more about Trooper Kenton Iwaniec, visit the website created in his honor.
