The Sexual Violence Prevention Network of Chester County plans to offer two workshops next month that will help athletic coaches foster respectable behavior on their teams. Called “Coaches Boys to Men,” the program will also assist these coaches in preventing harassment, assault, and relationship abuse.
According to Jeanne Casner, Chester County’s health director, athletic coaches are a unique type of role model for the kids on their teams, and they may influence the way they think and behave both on and off the field.
The workshops will be held November 17th, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and November 19th, 9 am – 11 am at the Chester County Government Services Center. The address is 601 Westtown Rd, West Chester, PA. The events are free, but you must register by November 12th to attend. You can find registration information by calling 610-344-5209 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
