In the Wake of 180 Assault Allegations, Massage Envy is Under Investigation

Massage Envy LogoIllinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan recently subpoenaed Massage Envy as part of an investigation into whether the franchise has appropriately handled its 180 allegations of sexual assault.

The Chicago Tribune reported on the proceeding.

Even more disturbing than the nearly 200 allegations is that many of these victims claim that Massage Envy employees did not handle their complaints appropriately, but instead focused on trying to diffuse the situation and avoid police or court involvement.

Joseph C. Magnacca, the CEO of Massage Envy, has published an open letter to customers concerning these allegations.
